This is the first replica bobbin case that has been made to the same standards as the vintage original Featherweight bobbin case. Our new Featherweight Shop bobbin case will work in all Featherweights: the black 221 models, white 221 models, tan 221 models, the 222 Free-Arm Featherweight and even the Singer 301. As an added assurance, we machine, fit, polish and test each and every bobbin case. This means, every replacement bobbin case that is processed through our shop comes with both a bobbin wound with thread and a tested stitch sample. This is a small piece of plastic tubing that makes removing the old, original light bulbs a cinch! You can easily acquire this tubing at your local hardware store, but for the convenience to our customers we are now offering the light bulb tool on our website.

The all-metal, Thread-O-Stat Thread Grabber has a smooth jaw, so the thread is gripped tightly and securely as you clamp the handles together. Unlike a typical "hemostat" which has a toothed or jagged jaw (preventing a firm grip), the Thread-O-Stat is more like tweezers, only better! You will be able to grab a hold of that little thread as you take the proper steps to remove it and the Thread-O-Stat won't let go! The Thread-O-Stat is also quite helpful for removing paper from the back of your paper-piecing projects, or turning things right side out, whatever you need to grab in a tight spot - an all around handy tool to have in your sewing room!

The Singer Featherweight Maintenance Log Book was designed to keep with your machines - whether you have only one Featherweight that you use and enjoy or an entire collection that you rotate through. The Maintenance Log Book features a place to note the model, serial number & manufacture date, as well as the owner's name and phone number. Documenting maintenance serves as a reminder for when each Featherweight was last serviced and provides provenance to future generations about the care and value of each machine.
Record the frequency of oiling, greasing and other maintenance with coordinating columns to indicate service type, parts replaced, and any extra remarks pertinent from that servicing date. For example, one might want to note that the belt was adjusted for better speed, or a bobbin case screw was replaced, or tension was recalibrated.
Maintenance Log book measures 5" x 6 1/2" - small enough to keep tucked in the machine's case, but still large enough to make small notations. This is a perfect gift and makes a wonderful companion to the Featherweight Servicing Mat!
