Sashiko Sit and Stitch Club
Take your sashiko stitching to the next level! There was a lot of excited interest in continuing with sashiko and so we hope to run this club the first Wednesday of every month. Each meeting you will be provided with a 6" square and be learning a new sashiko stitch. Over time this will build your stitch repetoire to include many advanced stitches as you continue on your sashiko journey. You are also welcome to bring a project you are working on for some help or inspiration. Sign-ups are on a monthly basis ahead of time.

Jacket Tech Talk
Participants will learn valuable information needed to be successful to make a jacket. Rosey will show you 6 different jackets she has made. The talk will review the following considerations: Getting started with a Plan, Supplies Needed, Patterns, Fabrics, Fit, Garment Sewing Techniques and the Cost and Timing to Make.
This "Show and Share and Learn" will give you the plan to make something you will want to wear and be able to enjoy the process.
Question and Answer period following the presentation. Potential for classes to follow based on interest. The classes will be specific to Garment Making such as: Layout and Cutting your Pattern, Quilting your Jacket Pieces, Seam Finishes, etc.

Jacket Sewing Workshop
Bring your Jacket/Vest/Coat pattern and let's get started! OR let's continue your Work in Process jacket. Rosey will guide you to make the muslin sample to fit you, alterations to the pattern, layout and cut your focus fabric, quilting your fabric for the jacket, sewing techniques- seam finishes, pockets, collars, darts, lining, closure options (including buttonholes) and hemming. Wherever you are in the project we can take you to the next step.
This is for any pattern, quilted or non-quilted woven fabric choices (excludes knits or up-cycling sweatshirts).
Please attend the Jacket Tech Talk as a "prerequisite" to a workshop day.
Limit of 6 persons per workshop. There is no order of workshop events, it is suited to each participant's requirements that day. Also going forth, you sign up as you require assistance, the workshops will continue to be scheduled as they fill up.
