Get To Know Your Serger
This class will give you the knowledge and basic skills to let you fall in love with your perfect sewing companion; the serger.
Be prepared to learn the basic operation of a serger, the variety of stitches you have available to you and some basic techniques to start with on your serger journey. Let go of your fear and have some fun. This class will prepare you for future project specific classes.
**You must have a serger in good working order with the machine manual and accessories

Sashiko Sit and Stitch
This is the group who has met together previously during the last year. We are still taking sashiko stitching to the next level! Each meeting Rosey will be providing you with a challenge using a 6" square or something else to learn a new sashiko stitch. You are also welcome to bring a project you are working on for some help or inspiration. Sign-ups are on a monthly basis ahead of time.

If you took the Beginner Sashiko class during the summer and wish to continue learning, this is the group for you. At each monthly meeting you will receive a 6" block to learn a new stitch and become comfortable exploring all the sashiko possibilities.

Embroidered Pear
Create your own beautifully embroidered pear with Angelique. She will walk you through the hand embroidery stitches on wool and the construction of your pear. This is a two class workshop. The first class you will be cutting out your pear and learning some of the basic stitches. A break before class #2 allows you to work on your panels and then focus on putting it together when you meet again.

Choose to use fabric or vinyl for the contrast fabric if you’d like! The finished size is 11" wide, 10" high, and 3" deep.

FALL Beginner’s Class
Whether you have been quilting a long time or want to dive into the quilting world, this class is for you! Here is an opportunity to learn the correct techniques for reading a pattern, cutting, pressing, piecing, and fabric selection skills. Upon completing this class you will be able to pick up most patterns and feel confident enough to bring them to life.
Each week you will have in class instruction time as well as homework to complete for the following class. By the time the class is over you will have built a QUEEN size quilt top. You will be given all the help you need to get it quilted and bound at your own pace.
This pattern (available only to Beginner Class Students) requires a jelly roll and yardage for the background. Borders & binding will be picked near the end of the course.

Featherweight Maintenance Class
A wonderful & valuable class for Featherweight owners! You've found your treasure and now you can learn how to take care of it properly so it runs smoothly for years to come.
Learn the basics of operating your machine with Terri; and then Ian will lead you through hands on oiling and lubricating your machine to keep it in tip top condition. Other information on maintaining your machine will also be provided. This Class is for Featherweight 221 Models.
Minimum 6 participants to run class. Class fee required to hold your spot.

Jacket Workshop
Are you in the midst of creating a Jacket and you need some assistance? This workshop will accommodate any skill level or technique. Bring in your current project and supplies and let us work together on the next phase of your Jacket.
This is for any pattern, quilted or non-quilted woven fabric choices (excludes knits or up-cycling sweatshirts).
Limit of 6 persons per workshop. There is no order of workshop events, it is suited to each participant's requirements that day. Also going forth, you sign up as you require assistance, the workshops will continue to be scheduled as they fill up.

Athena Top Workshop
The Athena Top is a boxy style featuring an extended shoulder and dropped sleeve. Comfortable and casual, this simple garment is a quick and easy sew and looks great with skirts, pants & jeans.
Sizes (AUS): XS-XL
The design provides lots of ease (roominess) which make it perfect for cotton and woven textiles. Length can be long or short. The pattern is free - Only 4 pattern pieces required, front, back, sleeve and neck binding.
Samples to try on in each size will be available at the workshop and any alterations can be made to a pattern piece before cutting your fabric. Shop Sample shows a "Blocking technique" using 5 different prints of Diamond Textiles. Or you can make it in a quilting cotton, perfect for unique or bold prints.

Wool Bowl Embellishment Workshop
Let's embellish a Wool Felted bowl with your creativity! Stitching with your treasure trove of different types of threads. We will use a technique to bury the start and stop of threads. Explore attaching vintage jewelry, ribbons, buttons, selvedge edges, beads, sequins, pins, cording, fabric beads, wool applique, kantha patches, small embroidery pieces or lace to your bowl. Endless possibilities of embellishments! Perhaps try some new and unique embroidery or Sashiko stitches. This will be your personal design. Spend a wonderful afternoon in our classroom and bring your creativity!

Mondo Bag
Join Margaret and learn to make the Mondo bag. The Mondo Bag is the perfect bag to take to the quilt shop, a weekend away, or even a diaper bag!
This bag finishes at about 10” on the bottom and has approx. 15” tall sides, with options for an inside pocket and loop for clip-on keychains. With your fabric choices, you can make this bag super scrappy from your stash or very uniform using a favourite jelly roll This is beginner friendly and even fun for intermediate sewers. You will be using the Quilt Smart panels that make this bag a breeze to make. Before you know it you'll be making one for all your friends!WHEN: Saturday November 21
