This black mat features a complete schematic of parts of the entire Featherweight with views of the motor, foot controller and tension unit as well. We have sourced these designs from various manuals and rare Featherweight documents in order to compile the most concise Featherweight schematic. The mat is 3mm thick, and the underside backing is rubber to help keep it in place during a machine service and / or to use while sewing; it has a bound edge for a clean finish.

A felt drip pad liner is used to collect the excess oil from your Singer Featherweight 221 and 222 Model Sewing Machines. This listing is for the 221 Felt Drip Pad.
If there is oil residue on your finger after depressing it into the old pad, then it is time for a new Felt Drip Pad!
Simply remove the old one after removing the metal tray on the bottom of your machine, peel the paper off the new pad and adhere it in place. (You may need to clean the excess oil and old pad adhesives from the tray before applying the new pad.)
The all-metal, Thread-O-Stat Thread Grabber has a smooth jaw, so the thread is gripped tightly and securely as you clamp the handles together. Unlike a typical "hemostat" which has a toothed or jagged jaw (preventing a firm grip), the Thread-O-Stat is more like tweezers, only better! You will be able to grab a hold of that little thread as you take the proper steps to remove it and the Thread-O-Stat won't let go! The Thread-O-Stat is also quite helpful for removing paper from the back of your paper-piecing projects, or turning things right side out, whatever you need to grab in a tight spot - an all around handy tool to have in your sewing room!

TO LOCK: Squeeze locking teeth together without any slight twisting.

The Singer Featherweight Maintenance Log Book was designed to keep with your machines - whether you have only one Featherweight that you use and enjoy or an entire collection that you rotate through. The Maintenance Log Book features a place to note the model, serial number & manufacture date, as well as the owner's name and phone number. Documenting maintenance serves as a reminder for when each Featherweight was last serviced and provides provenance to future generations about the care and value of each machine.
Record the frequency of oiling, greasing and other maintenance with coordinating columns to indicate service type, parts replaced, and any extra remarks pertinent from that servicing date. For example, one might want to note that the belt was adjusted for better speed, or a bobbin case screw was replaced, or tension was recalibrated.
